One store in MD I frequented had one of these on a turntable in the front window for show, all dusty.
I am disgusted at how high people are trying to sell this for, considering there's 4000 of them it shouldn't sell for any more than $75. smh
From experience using my Technics, I recommend spinning this record manually - not automatically on repeat. This record has the oblong heart shape of my home state, so the tone arm will just bounce off of it if it's spinning on auto. The first time I didn't expect it - it sounded like an epic mic drop. I gave it one last try for shits n' gigs and it did the same damn thing all over again. So I just drop the needle myself, it's all good though, not mad at it - especially for what it's going for post record store day. Jenkies Scoob.Anyway, just looking out for my mutual 21P fans who have this and play it (records are meant to be played) without busting a needle...
Sad that a /4000 vinyl like this is being sold so high online. 90% of the people that bought these are probably hipster douche fanboys that don't even have a record player
I was at the show this is taken from, glad I was able to get my hands on a copy. they play way more of their pre-vessel era music in their home state.
These songs suck
why are you even here then. . . . .
Well, if you've played it and find that they suck, I'd surely buy it from you :)
so do you! :)
little hint for all, visit the homepage and buy one
What homepage
I'd call this record a 10". Thats the size that the outer sleeve is
Sizes correspond to the diameter of the playable area of the record.
I found mine laying down flat during record store day. I was super excited to find mine. It's crazy it's going for so much.
The record is definitely a 12" cut out. Takes up the entire platter. The copies on the webstore are part of the 4000.
500 copies released on the Twenty One Pilots' webstore on 04/23/15.This record is a 7" not a 12".
got my copy for $50 on ebay. not a bad deal considering I was late to RSD. It's a limited pressing guys, you've just gotta suck it up and either wake up early on RSD or pay the price for it. It sucks, but hopefully labels will remove the rarity of the items and that will help to keep people from only buying copies to flip them.
You both should have got to the store if you wanted to pay a reasonable price for a rare, in-demand record.
The RSD distribution system is so broken that even when you have three stores in your city that all ordered it only one store got two copies of it. I was one of the first at one of the shops and they didn't have it (or the Father John Misty) I was looking for so I went to the other places and they were all sold out or hadn,t received either release.
i'd just like to remind you, and others, that there are people (like me) who don't have ONE record store in their remote city, let along one participating in RSD, and there are people who can't travel for RSD either. People who bought, or worse, owned a record store and withheld their copies like the seller on this website, just to make the big bucks are pathetic. Luckily 21p knows what's up and are releasing 500 more on the 23rd. Patience is always a helpful trait to have.
the seller is a Dutch independent record store, who gets this product straight from the record company, and withheld this copy from sale on RSD to make big bugs a day later. This pisses me off, as there a lot of fans wanting to buy this 12" for a resonable price.
between 64 AND 90 BUCKS?! That's insane. It goes for cheaper on eBay, and that's really saying something.
they are releasing 500 more online on the 23rd! 21p knows what's up!
I wish they had done like paramore did with their Ain't It Fun release. Designate a select few to online sales on their webstore that day to allow some people who didn't get their early enough or their store didn't get copies to sell. I agree this is way too overpriced. If I ever were to sell mine, I'd be fair about the price.
are you kidding me right now? this cost $14. stop inflating the prices to $50+ and leave that crap for ebay. this is a website by record lovers FOR record lovers and it's intended to be reasonably priced records for collectors who know they exact amount they should be paying for a record. this record is hardly rare. you aren't going to sell your record for $50, let alone $80.
