Album

The Complete Bob Marley & the Wailers 19671972 is a series of compilation albums by Bob Marley and the Wailers released in eleven volumes by JAD Records between 1997 and 2002. Released in 19982003, this 220-track series revealed over one hundred rare Bob Marley & the Wailers recordings to the world, including major songs like Selassie Is the Chapel, and many of them previously unreleased, such as Rock to the Rock. Many of the rarest selections came directly from Roger Steffens' huge collection. Bend Down Low. Bob Marley & The Wailers. Best of the Wailers, contrary to its title, is not a compilation of singles, but rather a complete album, the first reggae album recorded as a cohesive entity unto itself. Leslie Kong produced the record, which was released just before his untimely death, an event that doomed its chances of commercial success. However, that's no knock on the album, whose grooves flow together seamlessly, achieving the group's aim of making a coherent musical statement. The reissue uses only the original mixes and appends several dub versions of tracks from the album. Track Listing - Disc 1. Bob Marley and the Wailers BMW was a Jamaican reggae band 1974-1981 lead by Rastafarian Bob Marley 1945-1981 when Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer left the old band, The Wailers. A veritable treasure trove of early recordings 1967-1972 that was recorded for the independent JAD Records, Marley's first important signing outside the local scene. The collection brims with the influence of old American soul, gospel, and R&B hits that were popular in Jamaica at the time. en: The Complete Bob Marley & the Wailers 19671972. Album Compilation.
